All profits from Rosaries for Peace go to Children International; and as our chosen charity, we regularly donate as part of the sponsorship programme they offer.

Since 1936 Children International has provided a unique set of life-changing benefits and services to over 1,000,000 poor children. As a non-profit humanitarian organisation, Children International focuses on easing the burdens placed on impoverished children. They rely on the generosity of their sponsors and donors for this essential work.

Children International have NO POLITICAL AFFILIATIONS and unlike some charities, 80% (a massive percentage) of all donations are used for programme services (the remainder for securing financial support in the future and so on).

They have no official religious affiliation either. Their board of directors is comprised of members of many different denominations.  This is essential in the work that they do, as in different areas of the world, different religions are part of the culture; their focus is on helping and supporting their children as opposed to conversion to a particular religious belief.  They offer religious education to the children, but this varies from country to country and is on a strictly voluntary basis.

Children International work to help children by providing healthcare, housing and education as well as material and emotional aid.

This work is carried out with a view to enabling these children to break the cycle of poverty once and for all.  And Children International have achieved great success in their endeavour to bring quality of life to these children...and their children's, children too!

The most wonderful aspect of giving to children International is knowing that your donation makes a difference...and not just for today...but for the future too!

The Rosary Prayers...

The Apostles Creed

I believe in God, the Father, Almighty. Creator of Heaven and Earth.  And in Jesus Christ his only son, Our Lord.  Who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried.  He descended to the dead.  On the 3rd day he rose again.  He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father.  From there he will come to judge the living and the dead.  I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and life everlasting. Amen.

The Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven. Hallowed be thy name.  Thy kingdom come.  Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.  And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.  And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen.

The Hail Mary

Hail Mary full of grace, the Lord is with thee!  Blessed art thou amongst women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.  Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

The Glory Be

Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit.  As it was in the beginning, is now and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.

The Fatima Prayer

Oh my Jesus, forgive us our sins and save us from the fires of hell. Lead all souls to heaven - especially those who have most need of thy mercy. Amen.

Hail Holy Queen

Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy.  Hail, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee to we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this vale of tears.  Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy towards us.  And after this our exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb.  O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary. Pray for us O Holy Mother of God, that we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.

Reviews...

"Prayer is all in the intention and how you pray.  Since having the rosaries I have experienced a lot of 'good energy'  or 'luck'.  However your belief is, it brings out how you pray - and I felt the power of prayer, as if I have a guardian angel watching over me all the time.  Thank you so much for such a wonderful gift."

"I received the rosaries you sent me and I must say they are beautiful and easy to use. The information sent with them is very colourful and easy to follow."

The words of Our Lord to Saint Faustina

"Encourage souls to say the Chaplet which I have given you. Whoever will recite it will receive great mercy at the hour of death. When they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between my Father and the dying person, not as the Just Judge but as the Merciful Saviour.

Priests will recommend it to sinners as their last hope of salvation. Even if there were a sinner most hardened, if he were to recite this chaplet only once, he would receive grace from my infinite mercy.

I desire to grant unimaginable graces to those souls who trust in My Mercy.

Through the Chaplet you will obtain everything, if what you ask for is compatible with My will."

I feel the closing prayer that's used for the Divine Mercy chaplet sums up the whole devotion wonderfully...and also gives us a wonderful perspective on Jesus' love for us...

"Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself."

The Divine Mercy may be prayed on normal rosary beads - the instructions on how to do this are below...

The Divine Mercy Prayers...

Begin with the Our Father, The Hail Mary & Apostle's Creed (see right hand column).

Opening Prayer to the Divine Mercy

O Lord, behold here before You a soul who exists in this world in order to allow You to exercise Your admirable mercy and manifest it before heaven and earth. Others may glorify You through their faithfulness and perseverance, thus making evident the power of Your grace. How sweet and generous You are to those who are faithful to You!

Nevertheless, I will glorify You by acquainting others of Your goodness to sinners and by reminding them that Your mercy is above all malice, that nothing can exhaust it, and that no relapse, no matter how shameful or criminal, should allow the sinner to despair of forgiveness.

I have offended You grievously, O Beloved Redeemer, but it would be still worse if I were to offend You by thinking that You were lacking in goodness to forgive me. I would rather He deprive me of everything else than the trust I have in Your mercy.

Should I fall a hundred times or should my crimes be a hundred times worse that they actually are, I would continue to trust in Your Mercy. Amen

On the Our Father Beads:

Eternal Father,
I offer you the Body and Blood, Soul and Divinity,
of Your Dearly Beloved Son,
Our Lord, Jesus Christ,
in atonement for our sins
and those of the whole world.

On the decade beads

For the sake of His sorrowful Passion, have mercy on us and on the whole world.

At the end say 3 times

Holy God, Holy Mighty One,
Holy Immortal One,
have mercy on us
and on the whole world.

Closing Prayer

Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.

About the Rosary...

The Rosary is a string of beads or knotted cord used for reciting a very special sequence of prayers called "The Rosary of Our Lady".  The Rosary is usually considered a solely Catholic devotion, however, increasingly people who don't favour the church often find favour with the Rosary - so why not give it a try?

Whether you are new to the Rosary, new to Christianity, new to Our Lady, or only vaguely remember it from church as a child, this is a wonderful prayer to learn. Praying the Rosary or to Mary doesn't make you Catholic and you don't need to belong to any church to pray it!  So if you simply don't wish to join an institutionalised religion but are unsure of how to make the most of your personal religious observations, don't despair! - the Rosary can be prayed at home, on the bus, alone, or with friends...you can always have it with you!  And many find this wonderful prayer brings great peace and spiritual insight as you meditate on the mysteries of the lives of Mary and Jesus.

Usually it's seen as a solely 'Marian' prayer because of the repetition of the famous "Hail Mary" prayer - but there is a good deal more to the Rosary than you might imagine!  In fact, many 'chaplets' or devotions can be prayed on these very special beads!  Read on for information about the Divine Mercy Chaplet!

The History of the Rosary...

The Rosary actually began its life as a repetition of the Lord's Prayer sometime between the eighth and twelfth century; the Lord's Prayer (or 'Our Father') would be repeated 150 times by the peasantry who were unable to read and therefore were unable to join in with the reading of the psalms by those more educated and the clergy.  The recitation of 150 'Our Fathers' became known as a 'psalter'.

Later on, those in the church who wanted to demonstrate their devotion to the Virgin Mary (who had always been prayed to for intercession since the very beginnings of the church) substituted 150 Hail Marys instead.

The increasing devotion to Mary was a natural development of the early church; as each new Christian was baptised, they became a brother/sister in Christ, sharing his Heavenly Father, and therefore also his 'Heavenly Mother'.  Indeed, many have come to know Christ through Mary and through the Rosary.

The way we pray the rosary today was officially approved by Pope Pius V in 1569.  In 1573 he also established an official 'Feast of the Rosary'!  The name 'Rosary' came from the name originally given to the recitation of 50 Hail Marys: a "rosarium", which means "rose garden".

The official approval of this most popular and powerful prayer is not the end of the story!  In relatively recent times, apparitions of the Virgin Mary at Fatima, Lourdes and Medjugorje, have delivered a consistent message from 'Our Lady' encouraging us all to take up the Rosary and pray for world peace and for 'sinners'.

The word 'sinners' often puts people off as it calls to mind a set of rules listed by the church as to what is right and wrong, and of people sitting inour_lady_rosary.jpg image by kswasson44 judgement of each other.  'Sin' could be better defined as any action that takes us away from God; that gets in between us and our relationship with 'him' (whatever name you know 'him' by). Your conscience is your primary guide in recognising sin - so always listen to your conscience!

When we pray, we like to remember the things we've done wrong and apologise to God in the hope that any impairment to our connection with him may be repaired...on our own, we don't have the power to do this; it's a two way relationship!  But in his infinite love and mercy, God always forgives those who recognise their sins and are sorry for them.  Remember, sin doesn't cause God to 'punish' us; it is not in his nature to do that because his love for us is infinite.  It's the nature of sin that causes us to feel distant from God...and when we work with him and align ourselves with his will in humility and contrition, our sins are forgiven and we are reconciled with our Heavenly Father...and only by being connected with God can we truly find peace, wholeness, happiness and strength through this.

Prayers using beads are great for those who aren't sure how to pray...they give our hands something to do, meditations to focus on, and sacred words of prayer that can have an almost hypnotic effect, enabling us to go 'deeply' into pray and to commune with God.

You may not think you need to do this...but I urge you to give it a try.  Perseverance and regular prayer can help us in so many ways, but you have to actually do it!  So don't just read this website!  Order your Rosary Pack and see how you may be inspired to new understanding and new ways of expressing your love of God.

Interestingly, in the apparitions of Mary over the last 200 years, she is avidly calling people to take steps to work with her and her son to resolve the problems of sin...and her special weapon is the Rosary!

The format of the Rosary of Our Lady

Lets have a look in a little more detail about how the Rosary prayer is organised.  Originally, there were 3 sets of mysteries that were prayed during a Rosary.  The Rosary was 50 Hail Mary's split into 5 'decades' with a few short (and familiar) prayers in-between (the 'Glory be' and the 'Our Father'...later, the 'Fatima prayer' was also added).  A different mystery from the New Testament was meditated upon during each decade and the mysteries themselves were set out into groups of Glorious, Joyful and Sorrowful Mysteries.  In 2002, Pope John Paul II introduced a further set of mysteries called the Mysteries of Light/Luminous Mysteries.

It may all sound quite complicated if you've never tried praying the Rosary.  But I urge you to give it a try because the rewards of perseverance with this powerful prayer are quite amazing.  It has been said that the Rosary is "the bible translated into prayer".

Initially, I advise you to start with the words and don't worry too much about the meditation.  Soon the words and sequence of the prayers become second nature and you are able to deeply meditate on the biblical mysteries associated with Rosary.

The Rosary of Our Lady is one of the most comprehensive prayers you will ever find:

That may sound like a lot to accomplish in the 20 or so minutes you would take over praying a Rosary; but in time, as you get more and more used to the prayer, you will find that you are able to enter into the process more deeply and pray for your own needs and the needs of those around you while you are reflecting on those sacred mysteries.

I can't recommend the Rosary highly enough! The Rosary and prayer are excellent ways to 'touch base' with God and get your thoughts into order...notice ways you're failing yourself...make resolutions and changes in your life that will benefit you, God - and the whole world!

In view of the messages that have been received during the most recent apparitions, I would like to offer the chance for EVERYONE to learn the Rosary and hope that they will enjoy it and find it deepens their relationship with the Divine the way it has with me.

I believe in the power of prayer and believe that your prayers for the salvation of others will be heard.  And in order to maximise the benefits to all, I donate ALL PROFITS to Children International; as the 'Mother of Us All', this seems a very fitting way to make a difference and I'm sure she'll be right behind us!

So buy a Rosary today (and maybe one for a friend!) and consider some of the good that may come of it...

Each cord Rosary has been hand crafted by myself and comes to you with clear instructions on how to pray the Rosary.  The full colour leaflet you receive also has pictures relating to each of the mysteries so as you pray each mystery there is a picture for you to meditate on!

The purpose and goal of Rosaries for Peace is to bring hope and relief to those in need of our charity...and to spread the wonderful messages of love, joy, hope and peace of Jesus through Mary.

The Fifteen Promises of the Blessed Virgin Mary to those who faithfully pray the Rosary

  1. To all those who shall pray my Rosary devoutly, I promise my special protection and great graces.

  2. Those who shall persevere in the recitation of my Rosary will receive some special grace.

  3. The Rosary will be a very powerful armour against hell; it will destroy vice, deliver from sin and dispel heresy.

  4. The rosary will make virtue and good works flourish, and will obtain for souls the most abundant divine mercies. It will draw the hearts of men from the love of the world and its vanities, and will lift them to the desire of eternal things. Oh, that souls would sanctify themselves by this means.

  5. Those who trust themselves to me through the Rosary will not perish.

  6. Whoever recites my Rosary devoutly reflecting on the mysteries, shall never be overwhelmed by misfortune. He will not experience the anger of God nor will he perish by an unprovided death. The sinner will be converted; the just will persevere in grace and merit eternal life.

  7. Those truly devoted to my Rosary shall not die without the sacraments of the Church.

  8. Those who are faithful to recite my Rosary shall have during their life and at their death the light of God and the plenitude of His graces and will share in the merits of the blessed.

  9. I will deliver promptly from purgatory souls devoted to my Rosary.

  10. True children of my Rosary will enjoy great glory in heaven.

  11. What you shall ask through my Rosary you shall obtain.

  12. To those who propagate my Rosary I promise aid in all their necessities.

  13. I have obtained from my Son that all the members of the Rosary Confraternity shall have as their intercessors, in life and in death, the entire celestial court.

  14. Those who recite my Rosary faithfully are my beloved children, the brothers and sisters of Jesus Christ.

  15. Devotion to my Rosary is a special sign of predestination.
